Chestnut Square Park Phase 2B and community center design
Council approved building a turf field, parking lot, retaining wall, and grading a pad for a possible future community center using ~$4.2 million of already-approved funds. The community center itself still isn't funded — fundraising can't start until council approves a design to show donors.

Three concepts for a community center were unveiled: a $30.5M core, $40.1M with theater, $43.9M with aquatics. A packed room of arts families pushed hard for the theater option, but the council made no decision and funding remains the big question — only about $9.6 million is truly available for capital projects.
