IT services agreement with Youngsville
Wake Forest's IT team could start providing tech services to neighboring Youngsville under a draft interlocal agreement. The town would share expertise with a neighbor and bring in extra revenue; the deal still needs legal review and Board direction before a November 17 vote.
Public Records and Transparency
A resident criticized the Town for omitting proclamations from the agenda packet and questioned the cost of handling public records requests, including a possible $15,000 part-time position.
FY 26 vehicle and equipment purchases
The consent agenda included financing for roughly $1.4 million in town vehicles, including nine police Tahoes. A resident questioned whether less expensive vehicles could be used and whether competitive bids were sought.
Amended grant policy and procedures
The town adopted its first grant policy update since 2011, creating a grants program manager position and requiring quarterly board updates, aiming to bring in more outside funding — more than $20 million is already active.
